How it works
1. Measure
A submersible sensor hangs at the bottom of the observation well and records the water level. A compact measurement module on battery or solar power sends the readings over the cellular network — no wifi or power needed on site.
2. Flag
You set a lower and upper limit per well. When a limit is exceeded, you get a notification right away — per well or per project.
3. Account for it
The full measurement series is stored in the portal, so you can show your client or permitting authority how the level evolved. Request a demo on automating reports.

PlantData.Live has a kit to monitor one observation well remotely, with a choice between battery and solar power.
Advice, configuration, setup and the first year of software are included. If you also want to monitor a nearby tree alongside the groundwater, we are happy to advise on soil moisture or trunk diameter measurement, integrated in the same online environment.

Why groundwater and trees belong in one portal
Groundwater and trees are not separate worlds. A tree draws part of its water from the subsoil, and when the level drops — due to dewatering, drainage or a dry summer — it often only shows weeks later. If you monitor both separately, you see the cause in one system and the effect in another.
- Cause and effect on one timeline. A falling level in the well next to rising water stress in the trunk: in one chart you see whether one explains the other.
- One set of notifications. The same limits and notifications for wells, soil moisture and trees, per project or per management zone — without a second account or a second app.
